We recently moved my cat to a new home. In own old house, she would always drink from the sink. When we moved to our new place, the bathrooms are smaller and our water changed to city water and she didn't like the taste: so she wasn't drinking. I bought this fountain hoping that it would be similar enough to the dripping of the sink that she would like it, and it went beyond expectations! My cat drinks so much more water now. (I fill it with a gallon jug of water from the dollar store) She loves drinking the water that is directly spouting off as well as licking the plate below. It also holds a surprising amount of water, almost an entire gallon! I'm super happy with my purchase and definitely recommend this product!

This is my favorite pet purchase as of late. I'm constantly worried that my dog and cats are not staying hydrated enough.
1. My dog is a concern because she hates drinking water and then gets so thirsty she drinks too much and vomits after; it's a very delicate balance to maintain her hydration levels so she doesn't throw up.
2. My cats are a concern because cats do not instinctually seek water unless they're already very dehydrated. Cats are also prone to kidney problems because the majority of cats are not eating a natural diet (ie. dry kibble full of grains) so they need plenty of water to counteract this diet.
I was really hesitant on purchasing this because it's green and has a cartoony flower; it almost looks childish in the photo and I keep it in my room and thought it would throw off the decor. I opted to purchase anyway because they current fountain they use was not cutting it for me. The cats were constantly playing with it, the water was spilling a lot, the ceramic was awful and heavy to clean (and slippery when wet), and it constantly collected hair and lint and was just gross to look at.
When it arrived, I was surprised at how big it was. I'm not sure why I imagined a dinky little pot. It really wasn't that silly looking once put together (very easy install). I was able to put so much water in and it was really quiet while running. The cats immediately started drinking out the little streams and I was delighted! There was no spillage whatsoever and taking it apart to clean is a cinch. The whole thing is light and easy to manage, especially when full of water, unlike the ceramic fountain. Also the top keeps the lint and hair from falling in and it's much cleaner. I caught my dog sipping from the fountain frequently in small sips too so she's not gulping and vomiting anymore. It's also a very gentle stream so it doesn't deter any of the pets from drinking because of unwelcome splashing.

This fountain is a life saver. We recently adopted two Persian cats with the trademark flat faces (honestly, they're more like concave) and long, long hair. Drinking from a normal water dish was leaving them absolutely sopping wet; they had been trained how to drink from big "hamster bottles" but obviously preferred open water. This fountain was our answer.
It's absolutely silent in all 3 modes of water delivery. The Persians are tiny cats but have no difficulty reaching the water. Their faces still get a bit wet on the sides, but they no longer look like they went swimming just trying to get a drink. We're also no longer needing to pour out and refill a huge bowl several times a day to keep food particles and hairs out.
The kitties were a bit confused by the flower attachment so for now, we've taken it out, but our dogs (who are both smaller breeds- Pomeranian and Corgi) had no problem also enjoying the fresh running water with or without the flower.

I have 11 cats and have tried several different fountains. Some were noisy, many had pump failures, and most of them were difficult to clean. This doesn't have any of those problems, plus you know the cats are only drinking clean, filtered water. I also think it stays cleaner by standing farther off the ground, and not having the open bowl design that allows more "stuff" to end up in the fountain, including cat toys. I plan on purchasing more.

Pleasantly surprised at this very nice water fountain. My ferrets and my cats love it. I needed something that the ferrets would not tip over and spill. This holds enough water that it is heavy enough and they cannot get their paws under it to tip it over. They run right to the fountain when I let them out of their cage so I think I will buy one more to put in their cage.
The fountain is easy to take apart and clean, it holds a lot of water so I don't have to add water every day but maybe once a week if that.
Very happy with this purchase.

I have had this fountain for a couple weeks and am still pleased with my purchase. I opened the packaging and washed the fountain components in a matter of minutes. It was so simple to assemble. I had it setup running for the cats in a few minutes and the both of them immediately loved it. Which was surprising for one, who is afraid of anything new. I watched him drinking from both water supplies, new and old, for the first week. But, now I think he has switched completely over because his old water bowl is still full of water. The cat pictured is 10 lbs and my other cat is 20 lbs so I appreciate this bigger and taller fountain for my large cats.
The water comes out inbetween the flower petals in a steady stream perfect angle for them to slurp up the water. Very much like a drippy faucet which they couldn't get enough of. I had read people complaint that you couldn't see when the water was low. Well, you don't need to see, only listen, because when it gets low you can hear the water falling back in and it is louder. Pretty simple, just fill a big cup and pour it in through filter. This thing was super quiet when I first plugged it in. In a weeks time, it became a little more noisy, and I think mostly due to the vibrating plastic of the product. I can dampen the noise by assuring the petal and fountain part were snug to the base. I think over time the force of the water can push it up and cause more space for vibration. It is not real loud though.

My cats absolutely love this fountain AND it's adorable. They always want to drink out of the faucet, so I figured that they would enjoy this. As soon as I hooked it up they came running and started drinking from it. :) Make sure that you keep it full or you could damage the pump.
