After reading so many great reviews about this product, I had very high expectations. Now, about a week after receiving my own acupressure mat, I will say that this mat not only met my expectations, but exceeded them!

I exercise regularly and tend to get chronic back pains after weight lifting. Recently, I have been working out more consistently, so these pains became more noticeable and as a result, more intense. I kept going back and forth between either going to a chiropractor or looking for another (and cheaper) way to combat these pains. I came across this mat and decided to give this "miracle mat" a try to see if it could help combat my back pains. Needless to say, I am extremely happy I did!

Something I noticed while using this mat is that the key is to find your own personal comfort zone to get the most out of it.

I can't afford a massage every week, or every month, or at all if it doesn't have lasting effects. I've had FM for 17 years with horrible stiffness in my neck, shoulders and upper back. Every muscle feels permanently contracted and they don't know how to relax. My muscles can't unlearn being tight. This mat helps by stimulating blood flow to those contracted areas. I use the mat against my bare skin, from neck to tailbone. I feel a warm sensation within the first few minutes. I have to believe it's circulation to those damaged areas! Thank goodness! I absolutely LOVE this mat! As an avid runner & yogi my body is always beat up! Plus mom of two small boys who still love to be carried. This is the next best thing to having a built in massage therapist. Must admit I have a strong threshold for pain so I went completely to bear back on the mat. I got this because I had a sore and tense neck and upper back and can't afford regular massages. I was skeptical when I unpacked this because it didn't seem like anything special.
Looks are deceiving, so I tried it out right away. Reviews suggest that beginners start with their clothes on, but I hardly felt anything that way, so I went bare-back immediately. Different strokes for different folks! The initial feeling was a bit like a back scratch, like it felt good. After a few minutes, it started to burn, but in a good way. I found myself closing my eyes and relaxing. When I got up, I could definitely feel the difference!

I have tried it both in bed and on the floor and both are effective, but especially on the floor. (That's what she said?) Even my cat loves it.

I suffer from bad back and neck pain. I usually get a massage or adjusted by my chiropractor at least once a month. This mat is awesome and can relieve my tense muscles. The key is lying on it without any clothes...it does hurt a bit the first time but you'll get use to the sensation. I usually spend 10-15 min with the mat on each of the following areas (back, legs, neck, and head). At the end of the ~1hr session, my muscles are relaxed and overall I'm in less pain.
